Local governments must have a good maintenance program in place covering vehicles and mechanical equipment used during public safety operations. As such, local governments are responsible for maintaining all associated vehicles according to the operations described in Section III.G., and also for maintaining all equipment associated with public safety. In addition, these activities require extensive fuel, which is provided by the local government. These activities and their applicable regulations are also described in Section III.G.
